Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, Epping Road Veterinary Hospital stresses the importance of an annual physical examination. Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services:  Our hospital is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' complete health care needs.

Surgical Services:  Our state-of-the-art surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures. When necessary, we have the ability to bring in specialists to our facility to perform unique procedures such as orthopedic surgery so that our patients always have their surgeries done in a familiar environment.

Anesthesia:  We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide an extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high-risk patients. Using the most modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures.

Internal medicine consults: We offer in-hospital referrals to an internal medicine specialist who performs ultrasounds and helps us with the diagnosis and management of more complicated cases.

Radiology Services:  Our on-site, modern X-ray equipment provides high quality radiographs to aid in the quick diagnosis of many disorders. All radiographs are reviewed at no additional charge to you by a board-certified radiologist in order to give you the most comprehensive opinion.

Electrocardiography Services:  We provide ECG services on-site as well as consultations with cardiology specialists.

Dentistry:  Our dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing, dental radiographs, tooth extractions and minor oral surgery.

Laboratory:  Our in-house laboratory facilities provide for serum chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis and parasite testing. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations.

Permanent identification: We offer Home Again microchip identification. We believe in the importance of permanent identification to reunite your beloved pet with you should they become lost.  This service can be provided easily during an examination or during a surgical procedure.

Pharmacy:  We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, shampoos, flea and tick control products and heartworm preventatives to meet the needs of your pet. We also carry a full line of prescription diets. For your convenience, we have an online pharmacy where you can purchase or refill most of your pet’s medication for delivery directly to your home.  Alternatively, clients can feel free to call our office to request a medication and our team will hand deliver (within 20 mile radius) it to their home within 1 business day.

Individualized Parasite Control Programs:  We develop programs for the best ways to control fleas and ticks, designed for the specific needs of your pet and your own particular environmental situation. We will review the best ways to prevent intestinal parasites and heartworm disease.

Dietary Counseling:  We will provide guidance regarding your pet's nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance and performance. We recognize the significant health risks associated with obesity.  As we want your beloved pet to live many healthy, happy years with you, we also offer weight loss guidance and support.

Behavioral Counseling:  We can provide advice regarding the correction of problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, separation anxiety, house soiling and aggression.

Fear-Free Pet Visits:  We are committed to reducing your pets fear, anxiety, and stress associated with office visits.  This includes having one of our exam rooms dedicated to feline visits, having stress-reducing pheromone diffusers in our hospital, practicing low-stress handling during appointments, and offering positive reinforcement during our exams with treats in all of our exam rooms.  In cases of severe stress or anxiety, we may recommend calming medication prior to vet visits.  This allows us to give a thorough veterinary examination without causing extreme stress and anxiety to pets when necessary.

Housecalls: At Epping Road Veterinary Hospital, we are happy to be one of the first veterinary hospitals in the state of New Hampshire to offer BOTH a traditional well-equipped hospital building and the ability to travel to bring our services TO YOU.

Companion Laser Therapy: We are proud to offer therapeutic laser therapy at our hospital as well as part of our housecall services.  Laser therapy in pets is cutting edge, drug free, technology that has allowed the veterinary profession to improve the lives of countless animals. It has the potential to aid in pain management and shorten healing time. Laser therapy is used to treat many acute and chronic problems in our patients such as arthritis, disc disease, dermatological conditions and more.
